Sweet, Subacid
Physical Attributes:
- Shape: Medium, conical
- Skin: Golden with darker orange and red stripes
- Flesh: Cream-coloured, crisp, fine-grained
Flavour:
Excellent combination of sweet, honeyed flavour. Initially somewhat tart, but some citrus and vanilla notes linger on.
Neat History:
A cross breed of Golden Delicious x Cox's Orange Pippin by Walter Hauenstein in Reafz, Zurch, Switzerland in 1966 where it is still a very popular eating apple.
