Physical Attributes:

• Shape: Medium, flattish round
• Skin: Yellow-Green with red blush
• Flesh: Greenish, grainy, fast oxidizer

Flavour:

          Highly phenolic aromas of rubber and asphalt, lending a bitter juice, with a strong flavour after fermentation. A preferred apple for Calvados, Ice Cider and Brandy.

Neat History:

          1850's Pays d'Auge, Normandy, highly prized as one of the top 13 cultivars for cidermaking.
